Quality of Life for Self-Sufficiency Programs

Most  programs are by appointment only.

The Quality of Life programs are designed to assist needy families in emergency situations while working towards the ultimate goal of self-sufficiency. These programs include:

  • Rental assistance (as long as funds are available)

  • Utility assistance (as long as funds are available)

  • Food assistance (when available)

  • Referrals for emergency food assistance

    • Sharing Place East

  • Referrals for clothing

    • Sharing Place East and Dress For Success

  • Transportation assistance (when available)

    • IndyGo Bus tickets (certain restrictions apply)

  • Registration for annual shoe giveaway

    • Mt. Paran Baptist Church

  • Employment assistance

    • Current job openings in the community

    • Interview tips

    • Resume construction & resume critique review

  • Re-entry/Ex-offender resource network

    • Referrals to appropriate re-entry programs for Marion County/DOC ex-offenders

    • One-on-one ex-offender mentoring services

    • Financial coaching for ex-offenders
