LOCATIONS

1898 -- Frank Flanner donates to the Charity Organization Society two frame buildings in the heart of Lockefield Gardens Housing Project on Rhode Island Street (name later change to Colton Street)

1918 -- Christian Women's Board of Missions purchase four buildings at the corner of West and St. Clair streets

1944-1975 -- New building dedicated at 16th and Missouri streets

1975-1979 -- Relocate to 2110 N. Illinois St.

October 1978 -- Grand opening of current facility at 2424 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St. (Formerly Northwestern Ave.)

December 1979 -- Flanner House Library opened
